apple cider vinegarMade from fermented apple juice, apple cider vinegar is considered a complete natural remedy. It is said to fight bad cholesterol, high blood pressure, bowel disorder, contribute to weight-loss and even prevent the growth of cancer cells. Furthermore, apple cider vinegar is a top natural beauty product.

Probably the best known way to use it is for the hair. After shampooing, the vinegar is added in the rinse water – 1 or 2 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water. It will remove the impurities and leave a shinier hair. Use 2-3 times per week. This is also considered a solution to make the hair stronger and prevent hair loss.

A solution with a stronger apple vinegar concentration – equal quantities of vinegar and water – is considered a remedy for dandruff. Keep it on the hair for at least half an hour, while the hair is covered with a towel and then wash it.

ACV diluted with water – one part vinegar and two or three parts water – can be used as a toner in the evening and in the morning to restore the PH balance of the skin.

The same solution can be effective in treating acne and age spots: dab onto the affected parts. In case of sensitive skin the concentration of vinegar should be less strong to avoid damaging the skin.

One teaspoon of ACV in a cup of water can be used for gargle for bad breath. The vinegar will eliminate bacteria and refresh the breath.

Undiluted apple cider vinegar can be applied on warts, fixed with a bandage and left overnight. After a few days the wart should fall off.

Plain ACV massaged on tired hands or feet can relief the accumulated tension and transform your bathroom into a fancy spa centre. This is also recommended to remove bacteria which cause bad odour body when applied directly underarm. However, it would be better to test whether this works for you before you give up your usual deodorant.

One cup of apple vinegar added in the bath can soothe the skin affected by sunburn.

Las, but not least, apple cider vinegar is considered a remedy against cellulite. It can be used both internally and externally. The oral remedy consists of one glass of water, 2 tablespoons of apple vinegar and optionally, honey, drank every morning. Massaging the body with a solution of three parts apple cider vinegar with one part massage oil should be made twice a day in order to make cellulite less visible.

Apple cider vinegar is a cheap and easy to find remedy.  Thus, I think it’s worth the effort to try some of these beauty tricks and choose the ones that suit our needs best.
